How to Get Secret Note 20 in Stardew Valley

Secret Notes are collectibles in Stardew Valley that lead players to secrets, loot, or solvable puzzles. Secret Note 20 takes players all around town.

As of update 1.5 for Stardew Valley, there are 25 Secret Notes, collectibles that can give players directions to a special location, gifts certain characters would Love, or solutions to puzzles. To start finding Secret Notes in Stardew Valley, players need to obtain a magnifying glass. This can only be done during certain times of day in the winter season. Then, players will be able to find various notes from cutting weeds, defeating monsters, fishing, digging, chopping, breaking stones and meteorites, and interacting with giant crops. Secret Note 2o is an interesting case, as it depicts a hard-to-decipher map.

Secret Note 20’s map starts at the town square, though that isn’t immediately obvious from looking at it. Players will need to follow the arrows and find the Truck Driver to complete a short quest and receive a Special Charm that permanently increases daily luck. Here’s how players can get and solve Secret Note 20 in Stardew Valley.

How To Get Secret Note 20 In Stardew Valley

Before players can get any Secret Notes in Stardew Valley, they are going to need to obtain a magnifying glass. This can only happen in the winter, so players who are in other seasons will need to wait a bit before they can trigger this encounter.

During winter, players will need to walk from their farm to the bus stop anywhere between the hours of 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. When they do, a shadow being, who might be Krobus, will be frightened and run off. This triggers a cutscene and adds “A Winter Mystery” to players’ journals. Players will need to follow the shadow being’s footsteps to the playground.

When players reach the playground, they will need to find and interact with a nearby bush. This should cause the shadow being to appear again. He will apologize for stealing and give the player the magnifying glass before disappearing again.

After this encounter, players can start finding secret notes. These are random drops, and some events have a better chance of dropping a Note than others. For example, defeating monsters, breaking meteorites, stumps, logs, and boulders, and harvesting giant crops have the best chance of producing a Secret Note. When a player performs an action that could result in a Secret Note, the game generates a random number between 1 and 25. If players have not yet received the note that corresponds with the first, second, or third number generated, the action will produce that Note. If they have all three, then a Note will not spawn. This means it will be random whether a player receives note 20 at any specific time.

Once players receive a Secret Note, they will need to select it from the top row of Inventory and right-click on it, the same way they would select a consumable item. This adds the Note to the player’s collection and allows them to read over it. It will then always appear in the Secret Notes Collection tab on the player menu.

When Secret Note 20 spawns, players will need to head to the center of the eye in town square. They will need to follow the direction of each arrow until they hit a permanent obstacle, then make the next turn. For example, they may need to travel right, until they reach an obstacle, and then switch directions to down until they hit the next obstacle.

This map will take players all around town and across the bridge to JojaMart, where they can find a parked truck. Players should interact with the truck’s driver, who will ask for a Rabbit’s Foot. If the player already has one on hand, they can give it to the driver right then. Otherwise, they can go pick one up and bring it back. Either way, trading the Rabbit’s foot to the driver prompts him to give a Special Charm in return. This Charm will permanently improve the player’s daily luck.

Stardew Valley is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Linux, iOS, and Android.
